Corpse Bride!

I finally went to see Corpse Bride on Thursday! It was nice to go out with a varied group of people too: Liam and Jayne, along with Debs, Dave, Jo, Cat, and then Claire too! Coming down the hill, i made the sweeping motion, and picked up Debs before going to Jayne's cool place above Londis. We sat about waiting to hear if Two was going to make it or not...realised we didnt give a shit, and left for the cinema!

The film itself has been panned by various people for not living up to the reputation of Nightmare Before Christmas....Personally, I loved The Corpse Bride! I honestly think Tim Burton has struck again with a masterpiece....of course it is certainly not comparable to, say, the opus that was Edward Scissorhands. Nevertheless, it was a great film, and one I will invest in once it is released on DVD.

Straight thereafter, we dispersed, but not before making a plan to meet on Friday for poooooool! Now...there wasn't really a lot of pool being played, since the Pier Snooker Club was full. When we did get a table, I played a game with Jayne and then Liam.....to note that Debs was falling asleep! We went our separate ways, THEN with a plan for Saturday.....which consequently never came to fruition as the weather was shite...

Whats that you ask? What am i doing today? Welllll....its so boring, it's like the Ring tape....it'd kill you. But with my way, theres no time delay, its all instantaneous....This is my subtle way of saying 'law work' for those of you who are still none the wiser.....oh the joys of being a Law student (!)

London Expo & Law Fair

Hi all! I went to the London Expo over the weekend of 29th-30th October with Chris, Mike and Kate (and we met up with Stu and Ian there). For those of you who do not know what the expo is about...well....its like a huge place where they sell lotsa anime and sci-fi stuff, as well as having various stars from each area present.......but heres the catch: They charged 15 POUNDS for people to get their autographs or picture.....how truly revolting, how truly sickening! Move that aside for now.....The journey to Staines, where Stu lives, was eventful in that all the passengers of Chris' car contracted motion sickness. The resultant effect being myslef and Mike falling asleep, and Kate hanging her head out of the window.....had she wagged her tonguew, the motion would have been complete! We got there ok; Chris and Kate went to stay with Ian, whilst myself and Mike went with Stu to his place. It was a nice place, and it was really cool that they let us stay there for the weekend, i am truly grateful for that!

First day of the expo I ran around like a headless chicken trying to take pictures of the cooooool stars there. Among the lucky few who benefitted from either my own, Mike's or Stu's photography were the likes of Bruce Boxleitner, Michael York, Alice Krige, Elisabeth Rohn, Anna Louise Plowman, The Dudleys (or whatever the hell they're called now),etc, etc. It all came together perfectly when I met a kindly soul by the name of Sarah who gave me a free coupon for an autograph, which i consequently HAD to use to meet Michael York...i mean, what a LEGEND!! D'Artagnan.....a true star! (Needless to say, I was quite happy!)

Over the weekend, I bought like 8 dvds and 2 videos for 23 quid, which was money well spent methinks! On the Sunday, myself and Stu made an incursion to Oxford Circus for the Rammstein signing....only to realise that it was taking place at 12am rather than pm....We were NOT going to wait til midnight! Dejected by this, we rushed back to the London Expo, and had fun running around randomly! There was a Garnier stall promoting their new Manga Head gel....so we all approached with due deference and had our hair restyled...it was coooooool!! We all looked pretty cool...although Chris did look like a woman, oh well!

The same day, we had to travel back home. As we set out on our jorney, Chris' car started making weird sounds....a long story short, I ended up dancing aside the M4 just before J15 (near Swindon...of all bloody hillbilly places to be stranded) to prevent my body from freezing. The guy from a local garage, sent out on behalf of the AA told us the car was fine, but the tracking was severely out.....We all had our doubts about the car getting home, so it accumulated in the passengers getting out at J17 to be picked up by Mike's dad (a true saint). Main thing is, everyone got home ok and in one piece....so all is well!

CARDIFF LAW FAIR

THEN....just the second day after getting back, I had to get up early to go to Cardiff to go to the law fair. Luckily, my aikido compadre Marcin was going, so we had a whale of time talking loads both on the journey there and back. There were only 16 people on the coach....and 3 of those were only going for the shopping....It kinda reflects badly on the law faculty, but oh well.....Anyway, we got there, everyone split up. Myself and Marcin worked as a team and went to almost every stall present. Bear in mind, the fair was only opewn for 3 hours....so we ran out of time, having to lead the last 7/8 stalls. But we did go to EVERY other stall, talked to each firm for a long period of time each, and consequently bagged lots of freebies! But freebies aside, we learnt a lot of valuable information that day...which was cool.

We got back around 9, and had to head straight for Aikido. It was unnerving being there and not training.....as well as the fact that everyone kept staring at me for the fact that I was wearing a suit in the dojo....lol. Anyways, after that, went home, got some sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep......Peace out!

Hello all!

It has been a long time,i know! I write this primarily out of duty to Mike, who seems to keep checking back on this to see if i've updated it..so this is for you Mike!!Well, in the zany and varied world of The MoFo, there have been many things going on....This summer has been hectic for way too many reasons, all of which will NOT be written here. Upon arrival back to uni life I was Ethnic Minority Officer for the Students Guild....which of course means I have more duties placed upon me...wooo hooo....oh crap, thats not a good thing, is it? Ah well...been down with the lurgy for about 2 weeks now, which sucks....although it has been fun making new friends and catching up with the old, such as Gerard, Khang, Stu (Hadn't seen them for a while...cept for Stu, but hes no longer in Aber....sniff sniff). As this is my last year, i think i'll write me a story, following from the inspiration that Mike gives me through his dedication to writing his novel.....perhaps i'll even put some of it on here for you guys to read and get back to me on? we shall see....No way in hell will I attempt an epic, but something engaging and short (hopefully....but im quite verbose.....or so i've been told).

As for music, all you craaaaazy kids ought to go listen to Lacuna Coil.....just gotten into them, they have a nice vibe.Besides that, just the usual of Foos, Muse and Rammstein....lol....Ummm,think im done for now?

It's been a long time....too long some may say, I wouldn't know, I've probably been asleep/revising/taking exams. However, now I am back to bore you all with random entries here. In honesty, this is probably going to be one of the longest times I have spent thinking about something other than work in the last few weeks. Enough of exam talk and trauma! Went over to Kev's last night, even though I was truly too knackered to do anything after my last exam. Ending up there until something like 3.30am....and naturally, by that time I was wide awake and in harassment mode.We had one hellova water fight, the teams being me and Gary vs. Kev and Amy....they soooo got their asses kicked. The new partnership has been forged; Gary is now my water pistol fighting compadre!

My good bud Gareth is coming down tomorrow for the weekend, and is bringing Kazuo with him! Will be cool to see both of them, even if I am too knackered to do anything at the moment. Hell, I'm going to see Episode 3 with Mike tonight, then have been told to go round town with Phil and co....Tomorrow, i'll inevitably spend time with Gaz and Kaz....and Sunday, i'll be down by the Glen with JoDo to see the boat racing thing the Glen holds every year.....oh fuck,im gunna be knackered.

For those of you poor souls who don't know, i'm in Aber over the summer...so yes kiddies, be scared, very scared...I WILL harass you all! I've already agreed with Mike to have a Star Wars and Smallville marathon...thats gunna be rockin', if not extremely hardcore!

Other than that....I go home next weekend for a week or two.....ooooh, and I see AUDIOSLAVE on June 5th!....Arrriiiiiiiiiittte!!

Keep it rockin' MoFo's!

Ill
Nothing really to report. I'm ill with a cold/flu, which funnily has strange side effects. It truly does bring out the introvertive side of me, and I've been writing again....See,the point is, when I write,I sit down and properly write for ages. I've even been told on many occasions recently that my musings on life are akin to things which sound very much like utterings from Sylvia Plath....irony being,i've never read any Plath! Perhaps its time to check it out...perhaps I may post things on here for people to read, we shall see!
